Aunjanue The. Ellis Taylor, American producer and actress. She graduated with an undergraduate degree in African-American Studies at Brown University and also a Master of Fine Arts in Acting from the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University. Aunjanue Ellis is an American actor and producer active in the fields of theater, film and television. Her acting career started in the theatre. Then she appeared on various television series, independent films and mainstream films. The actress was famous for her role as Miranda Shaw (ABC's Quantico) as well as on BET's huge The Book of Negroes. Both series received major critical acclaim, but she also took home a variety of prizes. She started her career as an actor in the year 1995 as Ariel on the stage in The Tempest. Her stage credits include The Broadway production of the Joe Turner musical Come and Gone A Winter's Tale Drowning Crow and Seeking the Genesis. Her film career is highlighted through her roles as a character in Men of Honor The Caveman's Valentine The Express, and The Help. The role she played as a character in the drama series High Incident on ABC High Incident earned her praises.
